Total Consecration in One Short Prayer

My queen, my mother! I give myself entirely to Thee.  ~source below

I took the picture (above, note: picture is in the body of the post, if you do not see it on the email version of the post, you might need to click the post open in your browser) from an old book which is titled The Blessed Virgin Mary by St. Alphonsus Liguori (b.1696- d 1787). The simple prayer on the base of the image sums up the Catholic approach to consecration to Mary, which is the giving of ourselves to Jesus through the Blessed Virgin Mary.

That little prayer is a portal into the heart of Mary.

I plan on posting excerpts from the book (from which I took the picture) leading up to the feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary on December 8th, which is a very happy day in the Church; and a great day in the history of the world (understatement, should say monumental day/moment). I will make the excerpts small so that they might be read in a short time period; yet they will give the reader a strong dose of Marian Catholic tradition, and teaching, from the Doctor of the Church, St. Alphonsus.

May you have a good day.

Hail Mary!
